Lockdown Labyrinth
Gouache on cold pressed paper, 240 x 320 mm
During the Covid-19 pandemic my family and I started to spend a lot more time in natural spaces. We found, like many others, that these ‘chlorophyll baths’ considerably reduced our anxiety and cabin-fever. The random untouched chaos of the curling, entwined foliage and trees appeared as a synonym to the labyrinthian maze of the lockdowns. However, the moments of togetherness and oneness with the natural environment provided a sanctuary of hope as we navigated through such uncertain times.
